The Academy EP Complete! =D Hey guys, just in case you were wondering, I finally got everything done today. Oddly enough, it's my birthday today too haha. =) It doesn't look perfect obviously but it's pretty cool still :D And a big thanks goes out to therese who sent me the scans to make this as well as everyone else who supported the idea.
Videos from Saturday I'm slowly posting my videos from the "Ask Mat" session with Mat Devine and William, and also the acoustic show at Reggie's that night. I'll link three of them below, but you can find all of them here: http://www.youtube.com/sisterheresy
Heartbeats cover from the acoustic show
( Read more... ) I'll get the photos posted eventually, but I was concentrating on videos first.
for question 12 - "Give the full name of the label that published The Academy EP" I was too vague. I want to know what the initials in the label name stand for. for example, if the answer were "ABC records by Awesome Music Dude" what does the "ABC" part stand for? thanks :)
aaannnnddd for 19 - "Bill has a tendency to take pictures of himself in airports. What is he usually photographed with?" I meant what object, not what type of device/camera.
I have an extra ticket for the acoustic show at Reggie's tomorrow which I'd like to either sell ($15), or give away (for free) to someone who could help me line-sit tomorrow. I have the Kill Hannah weekend pkg so will be going to the Q&A and I'd love for my space to still be there when I got back... I'll be in line early but would probably need to cab up to A&K around 11:30ish. Obviously this wouldn't work for anyone who is either hanging w/Sisky at Metro or hanging at A&K in hopes William can get a few extra folks in.
In other news, I was thinking of foregoing the glowsticks for once, since they seem not terribly appropriate to an acoustic show at Reggie's. But I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.
& finally - yes, I go to shows at Reggie's all the time and it sounds like other people don't, so feel free to ask questions if you need to. I'll be in line for hours at Reggie's today for Day 1 of New Heart, so unless my fingers freeze off, I should have plenty of time for replies.
I can't believe it's time for the 3rd annual (and possibly final?) TAI LJ Christmas Contest! where did time go so fast? this year I came up with a trivia quiz. it's not terribly difficult but you might have to do a slight bit of research. you can help each other out but please don't post here to cheat and get answers. since the 5 year anniversary is coming up I decided to up the ante a bit... the winner gets these:
the traditional prize and the not-so-traditional prize
that's right. both. have I got your attention now? :)
answer all the following questions and send your answers to lovefiercely@gmail.com no later than midnight MST Dec 24th (ie - the night Santa travels.) entries with all correct answers will be numbered in the order they are received and the winner drawn at random on Christmas Day.
2nd & 3rd place can have their choice of a 2007 "Santi" promo poster or a 7" Checkmarks vinyl. So get to it, it's like homework.... but hopefully more fun.
I wanted to send this note out to all of you before the rest of the world so here it is:

Clean version? Heyyyyyy guys! Long time no see. Or write. Or whatever. If y'all even know who I am anymore...?
Even though I've slowly stopped listening to TAI... (I think mostly just because I've listened to them so much I needed something new haa) I want to do my senior dance solo next semester to a TAI... song since they've accompanied me throughout high school. My dilemma is that TAI... is very obviously a rock band when one tries to choreograph a dance to them, so I'm having trouble picking a song. You Might Have Noticed is a very possible contender with the huge ol' problem of a giant cuss word at the beginning. Is there such thing as an edited version of it? I'm assuming not since it never came out as a single (let alone that it's like, the most unappreciated song of theirs) but I thought I'd try.
Well, it's just Beckett, but it is still a new photoshoot. But, I can accept the fact that I almost 'drolled' when I saw the pictures. What a handsome daddy we've got here. OHH! And thanks to Courney Beckett for the pictures.
Okay, so it wasn't like I disliked my arm to begin with... its my arm. Useful, you know? But now its awesome. And completely healed and happy again. And I really want to get to show William some day, but I'm afraid it would creep him out... idk why. I said "Hey, would you write this for me for a tattoo?" and he wasn't freaked out.
My friend knew it was a reoccuring phrase in my life, due to my stress level, and she knew I am in love with TAI, but she just found out the context of the line in the song and got a little weirded out. She didn't realize I was also such a big fan of irony.
Anyway, I thought I would share. I tried to post about it when I got it, but I don't think it ever worked. LJ was being a bitch that day. So if you've seen it, oh well, if not, then now you have :3
William on FUSE + Acoustic Benefit Show Tune into Fuse's The Raccoon Society on Dec 19 from noon-1:30pm. There will be a live Q and A featuring William and Kill Hannah's Mat Devine!
Also, Chicago - don't forget that William will be performing an acoustic set on Dec 19 at Reggie's. "A Night in the City" is a benefit show, and all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

TANTANTANTAN, some people say that it's true, other say that it's not, butsome people say that pictures of Beckett and his baby got leaked (EDIT: I SAID LEAKED BECAUSE I WANTED TO SAY LEAKED, KAY. THANKS) on Courtney's photography page and I've got them here. It's pretty weird, especially after last night, but we'll see later if it's true. Now we've got to decide and say what we think about this.
